“"Love it. Really like Linear but I work in Notion so great to have it all in one place. Also, I've used Notion for years and I have absolutely no idea how they've made something this complex that's easy to use 🤯“

Same system for dev and non-tech teams
Linear is great for software, but hard to use for teams like marketing, support and design. Leverage Notion's versatility, save money, simplify toolset.
Keep things simple

FAQ
Do I need a paid Notion plan to use this template?
No, however some of the advanced features of the template require Notion Plus (Timeline View, integration with GitHub
Why should I use Notion when I can just use Linear?
Linear is great for development, but is hard to adapt to other functions, like design or marketing planning. If you are looking to consolidate tools across teams, Notion is better suited and this template will give you the best of both worlds. Furthermore, if you want to take advantage of Notion’s ease of use and aptitude to long form and AI-enhanced writing,
I want to request / implement additional features, can you help?
Send an email to info@notionize.it with your request and we’ll get back to you! Don't forget that a 60 minutes 1:1 session to customize your template is included with your purchase.
Can you create a Roadmap?
es, you can absolutely create a roadmap. If you are looking for a "timeline" visual like Jira you will need Notion's pro plan, which gives you access to the Timeline View. Compared to Linear it's more flexible as Linear only allows Timeline view for Projects, not Issues. Compared to Jira is a lot more simple to build and filter, and you can drag and drop dependencies (represented by yellow arrows) and adjust due dates directly from the view.
Can you create a hierarchy with Epics and Tasks (including sub-tasks) and connect PRDs to the Epics?
Yes, Notion supports Tasks and Sub-Tasks natively. The template doesn't have example sub-tasks but they are super easy to add and you have the flexibility to display sub-issues in the Roadmap or not (if you want things a bit cleaner for example). Regarding Epics (aka Milestones in Linear) you can replicate them as a property in the Issues database (recommended) or use Parent Tasks. To connect a PRD document just go in the Task and type "@" and the name of the PRD doc, or simply write it as the body of the Epic.
Can we have a way to differentiate between features and bugs?
Yes - this is accomplished in the template for you with the use of a property called "Labels" - which is very exactly how labels behave in Jira (you can create multiple ones and attach them to any Task, then use a filter to view only the label you want). If you want to be a bit more prescriptive / structured, you can create what Notion calls a "single select" property and have only two possible values (bugs or features).
